Out of Control- Film Synopsis
If you expect the normal melodaramatic love theme in this film, you'll be dissappointed. OUC (Out of Control) is a dark psychological thriller. It starts with a violent scene. A parang panjang weilding man, Kassim, running amok killing a score of Chinese men. The man seems bulletproof and the cops are helpless until he falls into Klang River and nearly drown. The man is sent to court and later he spends his time in an Asylum for the Criminally Insane run by Dr. Moflis. There, Kassim mixes with other mental patients and receives series of unorthodox state of the art treatment.
Plot twist 1:The plot later reveals that Kassim had earlier discovered that the formula to cross to the world of mind over matter i.e. through treating the mind with a specific pattern of sounds which can be produced by Javanese Kuda Kepang and Barongan percussion instruments. On the day he was caught, he was just defending a Kopitiam Shopkeeper against Kongsi Gelap members. He was doing fine till a police came.
Plot twist 2: The secret of mind over matter is not a secret to Dr. Moflis. In fact, he has been using state of the art sound generating technology to control people's mind. The asylum acts as a center for propaganda and brainwashing funded by powerful politicians. The patients are subjects for experiments done by Dr. Moflis. Kassim and other patients are then brainwashed to assasinate Dr. Rahmah, who's an activist fighting for free medical treatment for the people, at a dinner function. Kassim knows the act is wrong but he and his fellow inmates are helpless against the mind bending sound pattern. His movements are beyond his control.
Ending. Plot twist 2: As the mental patients charge toward Dr. Rahmah, the mind control sound on kassim is overode by Gamelan Performance Sound at the the dinner function. Now, Kassim turns defender and fights the other berserkers.
If you ask me, it's a marriage between unbreakable, zoolander, k-pax and kluang man. What makes this film intelligent is it seriously deals with Shizophrenic accurately. This is one seriously dark film that plays your mind like a puppet.

TOLL-GATE GIRL
The Kulai toll gate girl told me this morning that starting from Jan 1 (Today), I have to pay her RM2 and not RM1.80 as usual. (Org kat TV kata, ini tidak membebankan rakyat) I wish PAS would win in Kulai and demolish this toll complex! I paid her and throw the receipt out of the window. Let PLUS uses the extra 20 cents to clean the litter I made!
